Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Humble, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Humble is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Humble is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Small & simple is best often. Walked in to eat at the cafeteria after a visit to the Jesse Jones Nature Center park. This cafe has lunch combos and you select the meat and sides accordingly. I got the two meat and one side combo with the free soup (soup for dine-in only), The food was super fresh and has a great homemade flavor. The small market has various Filipino products but I was there for lunch so I didn’t browse much. I will definitely visit again.

First time here. Passed by this hidden gem so many times, and now I’m kicking myself. The food is amazing. The price is right for the quality. Huge portion! I got the #3 combo with rice, Filipino noodles, Mackerel, and stewed chicken!!!!!! Everything was delicious. I ate the whole fish bones and all!

Brilliant hole in the wall serving absolutely delicious, home cooked style Fillipino meals. No frills, no show, just 100% home cooked style food. Fresh pancit, really good chicken adobo, fresh fried pompano, lumpia, Fillipino style sausages. Like I mean everything was A1. Service was fast and super friendly with a smile. Love small, clean places like this compared to big restaurants.

In addition to being a pretty good Filipino buffet (with ENORMOUS portions), they have a decent grocery selection too! Where else can you get papaya herbal soap and buko pandan flavoring? Great service too! Definitely coming back to this place!
